High Creatinine Levels: Lists of Fruits and Vegetables not to Eat with High Creatinine Levels with CKDFruits and vegetables are recommended for patients with chronic kidney disease(CKD) for they contain much nutritions that our body needs. They can provide our body with rich vitamin and mineral substance. However, not all fruits and vegetables are good for patients with CKD and with high creatinine level. Here are the lists of fruits and vegetables not to eat with high creatinine level with CKD.

High-phosphorus level are not recommended.

Patients with chronic kidney disease may have trouble in filtrating excessive electrolyte such as phosphorus. High phosphorus level in serum may increase burden of kidney and will further elevate high creatinine level. The followings are high-phosphorus vegetables. Black beans, chick peas, garbanzo beans, lentils, split peas and so on.

High-potassium level are not recommended.

High potassium is the hidden killer of CKD. High level of potassium in blood can not only cause damage to kidney, but also increase the risk of heart failure. CKD patients with high creatinine level should avoid fruits and vegetables that are high in potassium.

Vegetables that are high in potassium include: Potato, spinach, oilseed rape, eggplant, cucumber, mushroom, celery and so on.

Fruits that are high in potassium include: banana, apple, grape, watermelon, orange and so on.

Other foods.

Besides fruits and vegetables, you should also pay attention to other foods that will increase high creatinine level. Such as high protein food, like cheese, beans, tofu, nuts and seeds and high sodium food, like bacon, snack food, pickled food, fast food and restaurant food.
